Country music fans can expect a full evening of live entertainment tonight (Thursday March 24), during the 20th Anniversary of the Refugio County Jamboree show .

This month, the Jamboree show will be held at the Refugio County Community Center.

Admission is $5 per person.

The Jamboree Band will welcome Ronnie Murray of Mathis to the show for the first time.

“I had the chance to see Ronnie perform at the Western Palms in Corpus Christi several years ago as a professional entertainer,” said Rick Faircloth, show organizer. “He is an excellent performer.”

Four other crowd-pleasing entertainers will join the Jamboree Band including Bill Quigey of New Hampshire, along with Al Nelson, James Edwards and Buddy Edwards, all of Corpus Christi.

Nelson sings the Ray price style as well as the Big Band style and has been a musician for several years.

“Al, a very good drummer as well as a very good singer, is still entertaining, and is well known as a Ray Price style ballad singer,” said Rick Faircloth, organizer. “Al can take a song and get the very most out of it. The last few years he has also grasped the Big Band style of singing. You’ll really enjoy this gentleman.”
