Entry cards may be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce, Time Warner Cable, and the County Extension Office.
Pre-entry cards need to be turned in at the extension office any time before Feb. 12. To assist with bookkeeping, exhibitors are encouraged to turn in their cards as soon as possible, and not wait until the last minute, said a spokesperson for the extension office.
A late fee of $5 per item will be charged for late entries. The late fee will be used for upkeep of the Exhibit Building.
All county residents are encouraged to participate in the County Fair. The exhibit building rules state that competitive entries will be limited to residents and taxpayers of Refugio County, students (and their parents) enrolled in Refugio County schools, or those who work full time in Refugio County. Any other entries will be for display only.
Adults and youth will compete for ribbons, trophies, and the high-point award. School art will compete for ribbons. Premiums will no longer be paid to youth for ribbons awarded.
The divisions in the exhibit building include baked goods, preserved foods, clothing, handwork, craft, horticulture, art, photography, leather, wood working, and metal art.
