Residents of McMullen County will have an opportunity to participate in the annual rabies vaccination clinic sponsored by the Commissioners Court of McMullen County.

The clinic is scheduled to take place on April 12-13 at various locations in the county. The law requires that all pets over the age of four months be vaccinated for rabies. Pet owners are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to protect their pets as well as family members from the threat of rabies.

Pet owners are requested to bring dogs on a leash, and it is preferred that cats be brought in a carrying case. Pet owners will be required to restrain their own animals and provide the necessary information for record keeping. The following is a schedule for the clinic:

Calliham – April 12 8-9:30 a.m. Community Center

Tilden – April 12 10-noon Courthouse Square

Cross – April 12 1:30 -3 p.m. D. Haynes’ Office

Loma Alta – April 13 8-9 a.m. Community Building

Tilden – April 13 10-noon & Courthouse Square 4-5 p.m.

Fowlerton – April 13 1:30 -3 p.m. Post Office
