Woodsboro High School hosted the 31-A District UIL Academic Meet on March 28 and 30. With a full slate of contestants, Woodsboro placed second out of 12 schools, scoring a total of 280 points.

Fifteen students qualified to advance to region competition in Brenham on April 15.

“I am so proud of our students,” said Nelda Blaschke, UIL coordinator. “They have worked very hard and participated in numerous practice meets this Spring, which meant giving up their Saturdays.”

Blaschke said their hard work paid off.

“I hope to see several of them advance to the state meet,” Blaschke said.
