Woodsboro Junior and Senior High School musicians earned superior ratings at the UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest at Texas A&M University, Kingsville on Feb. 26.

Participants included sophomore Zeke Montalvo who played a Class II trumpet solo.

Seventh graders who played class III solos include Ivey Byerly, clarinet; Adriana Vega, clarinet; and Joseph Samuel Rey Perez, oboe. 

The students are directed by Florencio Lara, band director.
