Organizers at the Refugio County Jamboree have packed an all-star lineup for this month’s show on Thursday, April 28, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Refugio Fairgrounds Expo Center. Admission is $5 a person.

Judy Chesser of Kingsville, is a relative newcomer to the circuit, but her stage presence and talent shine through, said organizer Rick Faircloth.

“She has a great voice, and is in the total control while on the stage,” Faircloth said. “You will enjoy her performance, and will be asking for more.”

Roy Irwin, a veteran country musician from Portland, has a pure clear quality voice, Faircloth says. His professionalism comes from years of experience in the music business.

“He is a great singer and performer, and we’re proud to have him come to the Refugio County Jamboree stage,” said Faircloth.

The show also features the Jamboree Band, a seven piece group that is loaded with experience. The band leader and drummer, Rick Faircloth, of Yoakum and formerly of Victoria, has over 40 years in the music business. The last 30 years Faircloth served as leader of “The Whisky River Band.”

The Jamboree Band also has other members of Whiskey River.
