Governor Perry has been famously quoted as saying ‘Texas is open for business.’
Now, thanks to Governor Perry’s leadership and that of Senator Estes, Representative Geren, Lieutenant Governor Dewhurst and Speaker Straus—and with the strong support of the Texas Legislature—Texas is a great place to be a property owner!
Passage of eminent domain law reform has been a top priority of the Texas Farm Bureau for the better part of a decade. Most all of the agricultural organizations in the state deserve partial credit in this effort.
But the determined leadership and persistent efforts of Farm Bureau leaders in all 206 of our county organizations deserve special credit.
We are extremely pleased that Senate Bill 18 is now law.
