Cassandra “Rae” Cortines

Cassandra “Rae” Cortines, graduated from Victoria East High School on June 3.

Rae achieved awards both academically and in athletics. She was in the National Honor Society and played soccer.

She also received the UIL Scholar Award and graduated in the top 10 percent of her class, and was ranked 27 of 344 students.

Rae was also chosen first team all-district defense in soccer, and all-state academics.

Rae has chosen to serve our country in the United States Air Force. She will be leaving for basic training on Aug 8.

She is the daughter of Dion and Teresa Cortines of Victoria, formerly of Refugio, and the granddaughter of Dolores Garza and Bobby Garza of Refugio.
