The success of this dinner is due to the support of our caring community, the firemen said. Each year volunteers come to the businesses in town and ask for their support to defray the expenses of the meal.
The funds raised from this event go to the everyday operations of the department, and to provide training for our very dedicated members who give tirelessly of their time to serve this wonderful community, they added.
“Once again we ask for a $40 donation to help cover the cost of a box of the chicken fried steaks that we serve for this meal,” Ronald Williams, RVFD captain, said.
“The Refugio Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit organization and any donations made are tax deductible. Thank you for your support of our department.”
