BEEVILLE – The Beeville Country Club held its annual Labor Day Men’s Invitational match play tournament, and this year’s winner was Fred Sanchez of Kenedy.

Sanchez defeated Jay Arredondo of Beeville, 7 and 6 in the 36-hole finals on Labor Day. Third place went to Mark Delaune of Alice, and the consolation trophy went to Reagan Overall from new Braunfels.

Other results included:

First flight: first, Adam Coronado; second, Chris Varni; consolation, Robert Brown.

Second flight: first, Rick Smith; second, Noe Cano; consolation, Bradley Myers.

Third flight: first, Jim Scotten; second, Gunther Umundim; consolation, Brandon Willeford.

Fourth flight: first, Roy McCleery; second, Roy Gates; consolation, Fritz Scotten.

Fifth flight: first, David Brewer; second, Dick Pollard; consolation, David Turnbow.
