Woodsboro Lions announce Punt, Pass, Kick winners

WOODSBORO — A total of 96 youngsters competed in the Woodsboro Lions Club annual Punt, Pass, and Kick competition last Wednesday.

Boys and girls, 7-12 competed for first, second, and third places in their age category.

The first place winners are eligible for the area competition in Hallettsville, on Saturday, Oct. 29. For further information, contact Albin or Betty Kucera.

Seven-year-old winners are Layton Brown, first; Anthony Meacham, second; Eddie Kimmel, third.

Eight-year-old winners are Brody Levien, first; Jayden Scott, second; Coy Burns, third.

Nine-year-old winners are Robert Gonzales, first; Kyler Brown, second, and Chris Ferguson, third.

Ten-year-old winners are Zachary Moses, first; Garrett Burns, second; Kalob Jochetz, third.

Eleven-year-old winners are Ti Beall, first; Hunter Rifenburgh, second; Jacob Saiz, third.

Twelve-year-old winners are Kaylee Wright, first; Ashley Davis, second; and MaKayla Scott, third.

“Thank you to the Woodsboro Elementary principle, Leslie Garza, for allowing the Lion’s Club to continue to host this competition during the students’ P.E. periods,” said Albin Kucera, Lions Club officer. “Also a big thanks to Mary Alice Ortega and the Woodsboro Dairy Queen for donating ice cream coupons to each participant. And finally, to all the individuals that helped make this annual activity a success for our children of Woodsboro.”
