REFUGIO – Raymond DeLaGarza, 79, of Refugio died Monday, Oct. 3, 2011. He retired from Lonestar Gas and was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
DeLaGarza was born Aug.7, 1932, in Goliad, to Primitivo and Apolonia Guzman DeLaGarza.
He is preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, Elogia Yanez, Tomasa Cordova, Leonor Flores, Anita Gonzales, Juanita Antu, and Maria Muniz; and two brothers, Elias Garza and Daniel Garza.
Survivor’s include his wife, Angelita Pena DeLaGara of Refugio; two sons, Hector DeLaGarza and wife Ruby of Refugio and Oscar DelaGarza of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Adela Farias of Tivoli, Lucia Jiminez of Victoria and Lydia Hernandez of Houston; one brother, Primitivo Garza of Houston; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
A rosary will be recited Friday, Oct.7 at 7 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, Saturday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
