Spellman speaks at DRT meeting

Dr. Paul Spellman spoke about historical fiction books at the first 2009 meeting of the Clara Driscoll Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi on Jan. 10.

Guest speaker Spellman is a descendant of Austin’s Old Three Hundred and currently an instructor of U. S. and Texas History at Wharton Junior College. Spellman talked about the historical-fiction books he has had published as well as a yet-to-be published book entitled, “The Treasure of Buffalo Gap.”

Many DRT members of Refugio belong to the Clara Driscoll Chapter. The DRT welcomes new members from Refugio County.
