He was in a WWII U.S Army Veteran, and retired after 45 years from Exxon.
He was born in Bastrop Nov. 26, 1919.
Survivors include his wife Peggie Larde of Refugio; two daughters Katheryn Ann Cortes of Troy and Judy Smith of Memphis,Tenn.; two step-sons, Danny Anderson of Dime Box and Jeff Anderson of Refugio; one sister, Mary Catherine CasBeer of Angleton; one brother, Hugo Hoffman of Bastrop; and 8 grandchildren; and one great-grand-daughter.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Nov.4, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church- Refugio.
Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Refugio.
