WOODSBORO - The Woodsboro Junior High Eaglets saved their best performance for the last game of the season as they stunned Runge Junior High 38-8 last Thursday night.

The Eaglets scored early and often and their defense stopped the Stingers offense on all but one drive.

“We were really pleased with our junior high players,” said Coach Brad Vickers. “We look forward to continue working with these young men and having them at the high school level. Thanks to our community for coming out to support these young men.”

This year’s Woodsboro Junior High Eaglets include 8th graders Jordan Rivera, Hugo Ayala, Derrick Pena, Miguel Fierova, Quinton Burns, Michael Longoria, Jason “Pudge” Quesada, Joseph Perez, Trevor Starr, Jose Perez, Scott Carter and Santiago Garcia.

The 7th graders include Roberto Esparza, Kaleb Rivera, Anthony Mayes, Jaden Wren, Jordan Abila, Danny Havens, Daniel Longoria and Eric Foster.
