Local law officers surround a wounded hostage taker and rescue the victim in a room on the third floor of the United Building during their final exercise of a weeklong special weapons and tactics school Friday morning. SWAT instructor Robert Leal of RL Tactical in Austin said he and other instructors will be back to Beeville in the coming months to teach area officers more in-depth skills. One of those future programs will be a special sniper school.
