WOODSBORO – Lola Jay Berry, 67, of Woodsboro died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011. Jay was a dispatcher for many years at the Refugio County Sheriff’s Office.

She was born April 30, 1944, to Charley and Lola Day Hall Goates in San Antonio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ron Berry; and sister, Vivian Goates Gross.

Survivors include her daughter, Renee Berry and Dean O’Donnell of Woodsboro; and one son Ronnie Berry and his wife Cassidie of Refugio; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 4-6 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home.

Funeral services were be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at First Baptist Church of Woodsboro.

Burial was in La Rosa Cemetery in Woodsboro.

Pallbearers were Tencha McGuill, Diane Ramon Garza, Ron Kruger, Dean Ochoa, Roy Cisneros, and Bobby Bolcik.

Honorary Pallbearers were Bobby Sherwood, Mikey O’Brien, Heath Harkins, Joe Braman, Jim Hodges, Charlie Goble, Gary Bourland, Andy Lopez, Rene Reyna, John Barber Jr., Sean Ponce, Roger Wayne Rodriguez, George Pullin Jr., Big Jim Williams, Clyde Miller, Babe Niemann, Dean O’Donnell Jr. and Dean O’Donnell Sr.
