ESPN will air a feature on the Bobcats on its Outside the Lines First Report on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m.

The segment will air on Outside the Lines Weekend on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 9 a.m. on ESPN2.

Given the criticism about the Cats’ high-scoring against inferior teams in its district, Athletic Director Jason Herring is not optimistic about the feature.

“I expect the feature will be more negative than positive,” Herring said.

Herring, who has largely taken the majority of the criticism for lopsided scores says he did not hold the Bobcats back from playing a third quarter as in past years.

“I decided during the summer before the first game that the starters would play three quarters this season,” Herring said. “I’ve tweaked every single thing and that’s the only thing I can come up with — we’ve been playing half the quarters that other championship teams have played.”

Herring’s support locally has never waned.
