The Refugio Country Opry welcomes Sydnie Maguire of Beeville, Stacy Stark of Portland with her sons Ryan and Levi, and Arnold Parker of Victoria to next weeks show on Thursday, Dec. 1 at the Expo Center at the county fairgrounds.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7.

Stark has been a guest on the Opry many times as well as many of the local Opry shows. She played the role of Patsy Cline in the Harbor PlayHouse musical, “Always Patsy Cline.” She shares her love for music with her two boys, Levi and Ryan.

“Stark has been on our show many times, as well as most of the guests on the Opry show,” said Jay Monrad, organizer. “She is an outstanding vocalist.”

Arnold Parker of Victoria has been singing and picking for a lot of years. Arnold does most of the area Opry shows and is a regular guest on the Refugio Country Opry.

“Arnold sings from the heart, you’ll enjoy this man,” Monrad said.

“Our good ole’ country cooking concession stand will make you a one-third pound Angus Beef Burger or a full dinner plate, all to your liking and they offer free popcorn for this show each year. Come prepared to have a good time.”

All net proceeds go to the Opry Scholarship fund for graduating seniors from all three county schools.

For directions or information call Jay and Opal at 361-543-4297 or 550-3212 or Neal and Linda 361-543-4924 after five.
