Rabies vaccination clinic set Jan. 7 in Austwell

Dr. Lois Cochran will provide rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats for $7 at the Austwell Fire Department on Saturday, Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon and at the Tivoli Precinct Barn from 2-4 p.m.

Cochran will be at the Woodsboro City Hall on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon and at the Refugio City Hall from 2-4 p.m.; and again at Refugio City Hall on Saturday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Pets must be at least 3 months old to receive rabies vaccination. State law also requires a rabies vaccination two years in a row before the pet is eligible for the three year program.

Other vaccinations that will be available include FeLV and FVRCP for cats and DHLPP Bordatella (kennelcough) and Rattlesnake for dogs.
