WOODSBORO – John Snyder, environmental science specialist, with a master of science degree from Texas A&M for Envista Wetland was the guest speaker for the Woodsboro Lions Club monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 13.

The guest speaker informed the group of what his job entails at Envista Wetland. Snyder gave a slide show presentation of wildlife and some native plant species found in the wetland. The guest speaker followed the program with a short question and answer session.

Members then discussed future projects including the Mop and Broom Sale and the July 4th celebration. Action on both items were tabled until next month’s meeting.

Plans and preparations for the county fair hamburger and coke stand were updated.

Anyone interested in participating in the Fourth of July Celebration is welcome to get in touch with a club member or attend the next club meeting Tuesday, April 10. Meetings are held every second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church, 809 Locke Street in Woodsboro.
