AUSTIN – Claire Genelle McGuill died Friday, March 30, 2012 surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, B.E. McGuill Jr. and her granddaughter, Amanda Jorgensen.

Survivors include six children and their spouses, Mary Catherine and Charles Winslow, Claire and John Goines, Ann and Ralph Parada, Cindy Jorgensen, Bernard Clay and Maria McGuill, Chris and Sandie McGuill; sister-in-law Elaine McGuill Nelson; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was conducted from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Refugio.

Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Refugio.
