Several records were shattered by KCHS athletes in the Goliad Relays last Thursday, as the Badgers and Lady Badgers prepare for their district meet this week.
Sophomore Dontrell “D.T” Lyons set a new school record of 21.56 in the 200 M. Run, while Junior Garrett Willett tied a meet record of 13’6” in the pole vault. In the junior varsity division, Freshman Paul Kinney dominated, winning first in three events and setting meet records in triple jump and the 400 M. Run.
The Badger and Lady Badger Track teams travel to Poth Wednesday and Thursday, April 11-12, for the district meet. Field events begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, immediately followed by the 3200 M.
