He worked for Henning Wire Line and retired from Corpus Christi School District where he enjoyed his job as a crossing guard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Esther Ramirez, and brother, Ernest Ramirez; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Jaramillo.
Survivors include his wife, Maria O. Ramirez of Corpus Christi, three daughters and their husbands, Teri and Doug Jefferey of Dallas, Tammy and Isaac Jaramillo of Woodsboro and Cathy and Steve Teston of Austin; one son, David Ramirez of Corpus Christi; one sister, Billie Hernandez of Houston; one brother, Lawrence Ramirez and his wife Mary Eloise of Victoria; five grandchildren; and two great-grand-daughters.
A rosary was recited on Wednesday, April 25, at 7 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Refugio.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, April 26, at St. James Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Bernard Cemetery in Woodsboro.
