He was born on March 29,1929, in Woodsboro to Canido and Nicolasa Porras.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Canido and Nicolasa Porras; three sisters, Celestina Avila,Petra Porras, and Gloria (Eugolio) Rodriguez; six brothers, Sylvestre Porras,Benito Porras,Jesus Porras,Viscente Porras,Tivo Porras,Eduardo Porras.
Survivors include his wife Sofia Porras of Woodsboro; one sister, Lupe Porras of Woodsboro; and one brother, Severo Porras Sr.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, at St Therese Catholic Church.
Burial was in St. Bernard Cemetery in Woodsboro.
