The Austwell-Tivoli Independent School District is attempting to round up the names of four-year-old children living in the district prior to consideration of providing a pre-kindergarten class in 2012-2013, according to Principal Stephen Maldonado.

To be eligible for the pre-kindergarten class, a child must be four years of age prior to Sept. 1, and meet either of the following requirements. Be limited in speaking or using the English language; or be from a family whose income meets the eligibility requirements of the school’s free or reduced lunch program.

Any parent or guardian of a child in Austwell-Tivoli Independent School District who meets the criteria should come by the Tivoli Elementary principal’s office during the month of May to register their child. A copy of the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of family income should be provided at the time of registration.
