­Gospel music festival will honor Black History Month

The Refugio Community Cemetery Association announces plans to conduct a gospel music festival at 7 p.m. on Feb. 28, at the Refugio Community Center in honor of Black History Month in February.

Local groups, area choirs and soloists are invited to be part of the mass choir. Anyone wishing to be part of this choir, is asked to attend the practice sessions at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church on Monday, Feb. 9 and Monday, Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m.

The gospel music festival is free of charge and refreshments will be served.
