The seventh grade Lady Eaglets captured the Port Aransas Tournament championship Jan. 30 and 31.

The Lady Eaglets rolled past Port Aransas and St. James to win the first place trophy.

The Lady Eaglets defeated St. James 32-30 in their game on Friday, Jan. 30.

Top scorers for this game were Kasye McCool, Taylor Perez and Jamie Wilson with eight points each; Desirae Perez and Toni Martinez, four each.

“It has been such a joy coaching and watching these girls play together,” Coach Rhonda Perez said. “I am proud of each and everyone of them. Remember, together we can achieve anything.”

On Jan. 31, the Lady Eaglets defeated the Port Aransas Marlins 41-23.

Top scorers for this game were McCool with 17 points, Wilson, 10; Taylor Perez 9, and Toni Martinez 5.

“The girls played as a team and were determined to bring home the championship trophy,” Perez said.
