Archery, fishing, swimming, and treasure hunting! Goliad State Park is now accepting registration for its annual summer program, “Adventures in Camping”. The adventure will be held July 19-21, 2012. Children ages 8 -12 are welcome to participate in archery, perfect their casting skills during backyard bass activities, learn how to set up a tent, and experience the wonderful outdoors through a modern day treasure hunt called geocaching. Geocaching is an outdoor activity in which participants locate “caches” using a Global Positioning System device.

Adventures in Camping events are on Thursday, July 19th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On Friday, July 20th, camp will start at 8:00 AM, with dinner at 6:00 PM for the whole family, and concludes with an optional family campout.

Registration forms are available at Goliad State Park. Participation fee is $20.00 per child and space is limited, so sign up soon! For more information call Goliad State Park at 361-645-3405.
