Bobcats in great position for playoff run

The Refugio Bobcats are currently in third place in district 30-AA competition after victories over Skidmore- Tynan, Bloomington, and Odem.

The Bobcats district record is 4-4 with two games remaining.

The Bobcats defeated the Odem Owls 37-32 Friday, Feb. 6.

Leading scorers were D. Myers with 16 points; Brent Williams and Aaron Perez, 5 each; Marquis Brown, 4; Cory Brown and Matt Mascorro, 3; and Irvin Fox, 1.

Leading rebounder was D. Myers with 18. B. Williams had 4 steals, and M. Brown added 6 assists.

The Bobcats defeated Bloomington Friday, Jan. 30, 76-61.

Dylan Myers led the way with 24 points. Fox scored 15. Aaron Perez, 9, Tanner Myers added 8, Brent Williams added 7, Cory Brown scored 6, with Marquis Brown, Matt Mascorro and Donald Trevino scoring 2 points. D. Myers had 16 rebounds and 7 steals, and M. Brown added 6 assists

The Bobcats defeated Skidmore–Tynan Tuesday, Jan. 27, 46-41. Irvin Fox lead the team in scoring with 10 points. Dylan Myers added 10 pints, Tanner Myers scored 5, Josh Soto and Marquis Brown both scored 3 points. Brent Williams, Donald Trevino, and Aaron Perez all scored 2 points. D. Myers led the team in rebounds. Fox had 6 steals. M. Brown had 5 assists.

The Bobcats will host Skidmore Tynan on Friday, February 13. JV game starts at 5 followed by the varsity game.
