After an exciting first and second half, the game was tied 41-41 at the final buzzer, sending the game into overtime. 

The Lady Cats won the game in a 47-46 barn-burner that knocked the Lady Owls out of the playoffs.

Brittney Torfin would score two points, Megan Shaw one and Megan Montemayor knocked down the game winning three-pointer. 

Odem went to the line with less than five seconds on the clock to shoot two. Both shots would be missed. 

Shaw crashed the defensive boards to regain possession and Refugio turned out a 47-46 win knocking the Odem Owls out of playoff contention. 

High scoring for Refugio were Torfin and Shaw 13 points each, Megan Montemayor added 11, and Alexa Montemayor 5 points. 

“The girls were so excited it was as if they had won the state championship,” Lady Cat coach David Cruhm.
