Editor:

Again the Williamson Senior Center has come under the watchful eye of elderly services, the turn key for the county-owned property.

Mrs. (Edith) Collins, on her free time and initiative, has taken to driving by to see if the seniors are adhering to our monthly schedule in the evenings.

With her gathered information and no knowledge of what activities are working and which are in a development stage, seniors activities are being cut to her liking.

This action is supported by the Kangaroo Court that asked me to limit activities to Tuesday and Thursday.

Thanks to Mr. (Stanley) Tuttle, this will only be a temporary setback, so bare with us. Our Senior Center is growing like our Country Opry, our fire school, and our 4H here in Refugio County. We need to ask our commissioners to help us expand it, not choke it to death.

Thanks to the supporters, and shame on the people that consistently try to kill what works here.

The schedule of evening events will be rescheduled beginning with March activities, so Mrs. Collins can rest at night, instead of spying on the Senior Center. Thank you.
