Robert Lee “Robby” Valentine of Refugio died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi, following an accident at his home on Jan. 28. He was employed by Carter Water Well Services in Woodsboro. Valentine was an avid animal advocate.

Robby was born Feb. 5, 1964, in Refugio to Bo and Linda Valentine.

Survivors include his parents of Woodsboro; his twin brother Ricky and wife Veronica of Woodsboro; one sister, Tina Owens and husband Woody of Rockport; his best friend Laurie Marquis of Refugio; three nieces, Sheena Cole, husband Chad and daughter Taylor, Crystal Valentine Allen and Amanda Valentine; and one nephew, BBo Valentine.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services were in Oakwood Cemetery,

Pallbearers were Wayne Brown, Duane Henderson, Jeffrey Owens, Danny Webster, Richard Everett and Ordia Webster.


Patricia Ann Valenzuela, 53, of Refuigo died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009.

She was born April 13, 1955, in Refugio to Max and Anastacia Valenzuela.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her son, Joe Valenzuela of Corpus Christi; six sisters, Mary Beltran and Amelia Lara, both of Refugio, Janie Fuentez of Portland, Beatrice Pena, Diana Cuellar, and Lupe Cardenas, all of Victoria; two brothers, Cosme Valenzuela of Woodsboro, and Isidro Valenzuela of Victoria; and one grandchild.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at St. James Catholic Church. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.
