Refugio County Ranch Heritage Days raffle planned

The Refugio County Ranch Heritage Days committee is holding a raffle to raise funds for scholarships given to students from Austwell-Tivoli, Refugio and Woodsboro High Schools. The drawing will be held on Saturday, March 14, at the fairgrounds during the county fair.

The first prize is a fire pit from Anderson Ag. The second prize is an enameled cast iron dutch oven filled with various goodies. Third prize is a basket filled with a small cast iron skillet, utensils, jelly, etc.

Tickets are $1 each or six tickets for $5 and will be available in the Expo Center during the county fair. Winner need not be present to win.

In 2008, the $1,000 scholarship went to Danae Nicole Lee of Austwell-Tivoli High School; Kelly Thomas Bernal of Refugio High School; and Elizabeth Fey Allen of Woodsboro High School.
