All of the George West Cross Country teams traveled to Skidmore on Oct. 6 for a district meet.

Results for the varsity girls are as follows: Summer Garza – 9th medal, Allison Bryce – 45th, Mayra Pena – 49th, Meghan Teague – 56th, Miah Baker – 55th, Baylea Herring – 19th

Results for the varsity boys are as follows: Michael McCormick – 26th, Chase Galloway – 14th medal, Tristen Geffert – 39th, Nate Smith – 38th, Derek Cantu – 43rd

For the JV boys division Preston Smith placed 11th.

In the eighth-grade girls division: Andrea Waggoner – 1st medal and Nicole Gutierrez – 13th.

“We ran well this weekend,” Cross Country Coach Johnathan Sheffield said. “We will be headed to Poth Cross Country Meet this weekend. This is our last meet before district meet.”
