4-H ENROLLMENT

4-H Connect is up and running for the 2012-2013  school year. If you have trouble remembering your password please contact me. It is vital that you fill in all necessary information and have a USABLE email and remember your password.  Much of our communication will be through email starting this year. Go to http://texas.4honline.com and register for 4-H has open enrollment, so if you know anyone who is still interested please tell them to let me know and we can get them signed up.  The fee for the year is $20 until Oct. 31 then will go up to $25 per child.  Adult volunteers will not be charged.

KARNES COUNTY 4-H CLUB MEETINGS

The 4-H Club meetings for Karnes County are listed as follows: Falls City 4-H, 1st Sunday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Falls City AG Shop, Kenedy 4-H Club, 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:15 p.m. at the Kenedy Fire Station. Lonesome Dove 4-H, 2nd Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Small World Nursery School, Panna Maria 4-H, 1st Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at Panna Maria School Bldg. Runge 4-H Club, 2nd Sunday of the month at 3 p.m. at Connie Smart’s CPA Office.

MAJOR LIVESTOCK SHOW SIGN UP

This year all Major Show FFA and 4-H entry cards will be turned in on the same day. If you are entering a Major Show, you must turn in your entry material on Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 4-6 p.m. at the extension office. If this is your 1st enrollment, you have to complete the Quality Counts Program and print the verification certificates, bring them tonight. Stay in touch with your Ag teacher or extension office about sign-up. If you have any questions, call the extension office at 780-3906.

2013 QUALITY COUNTS COMPLETION

(Only new members or if you were given a notice at Steer Validation) If you are planning on showing at the 2013 Major Livestock Shows, please make sure you complete The Quality Counts Program located online at qualitycounts.tamu.edu. Once you completed this program, you will receive a verification number that we need here at the extension office for completion of Major Show entries. If you were given a notice at the Steer Validation to redo your verification, you need to do so and bring new verification number.
