Of the 40 citizens who filed into the district courtroom, not one had anything positive to say about trading hundreds of thousands of dollars for artificial turf in exchange for a piece of property where a multi-purpose dome would be built.
Among the protestors was Austwell-Tivoli ISD Superintendent Anthony Aguirre.
At the end of the session, Judge Rene Mascorro announced the commissioners will host meetings across the county to discuss concerns.
