Lady Eagles place leash on Bulldogs

THREE RIVERS — The Pettus Lady Eagle varsity basketball team opened district play on Friday, Jan. 4, against the host Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Eagles swarmed the Bulldogs and kept them penned up most of the night in a 61-40 victory.

Ryan Grayson topped the stats chart with 21 points and eight rebounds. Destiny Carrillo scored 13, had three steals and two assists in the win. Madi Garza contributed 12 points and had five steals for the Lady Eagles.

The Tuesday night game with Kenedy was rescheduled to Saturday at 11 a.m., due to referee scheduling conflicts.
