Well, here I am again, cussing and discussing the same old problem that I complained about some eight years ago when I was chairman of the City of Refugio Substandard Building Commission.
The “garbage” dump across from H-E-B grocery store — not only has it always been an eyesore, but definitely has been, in my opinion, a health hazard.
I have discussed this situation on several occasions with City Councilmen Frank Hosey and Joey Heard. I was advised by Mr. Heard that he has attempted to have this item placed on the meeting agenda, but, the powers-that-be (the city secretary and mayor) will not do so.
This structure has been collapsed and the garbage, trash and remains still are there.
What does it take to get our city to do what is right?
