Annie A. Valigura, 87, of Moulton passed away on March 21, 2009. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Altar Society and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She worked in the Moulton ISD school cafeteria for 30 years.
She was born Aug. 10, 1921, in Moulton to the late Tom J. and Albina Hanslik Darilek.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Valigura; one sister, Agnes Tryner; and three brothers, Frank, Emil and Adolph Darilek.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Beuershausen and husband Barry of Refugio and Gloria A. Valigura and friend Calvin Kulhanek of Houston; brother- Eddie Darilek of LaMarque; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Julius, Charles, Glen and Evan Darilek, Ronnie Tryner, Carlwyn Loewe, Alvin Kocian, and Bob Dillard.
Visitation will held at 2 p.m. March 23, at Smith Funeral Home-Moulton.
Rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. March 23, 2009, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Moulton.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. March 24, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moulton. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Gabriel Maison officiating.
