Students enjoy working in teams while researching the subject and preparing a presentation for the whole class, she said.
Recently, a group of TJES students (Sandra Martinez, Matthew Molina, Ruby Fierova and Angela Sanchez) performed a skit on Eminent Domain. The students and guests in the audience had a chance to ask questions and make comments at the mock trial.
The school believes that such innovative learning techniques raise students’ interest in social studies and help promote students’ performance in the subject, the teacher added.
