According to Goliad County Sheriff Kirby Brumby, 17 suspected illegal immigrants were captured in a two-day span Jan. 22 and 23 near Farm-to-Market Road 622 in the vicinity of the Schroeder area.
Brumby said 15 were captured Jan. 22 and two more on Jan. 23.
Three more suspected illegal immigrants were taken into custody Sunday night by Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers at the Jalisco Mexican Restaurant in Goliad.
