WOODSBORO — With the start of softball season around the corner, pre-season honors were handed out to Woodsboro Lady Eagle pitcher Jamie Wilson.

The Corpus Christi Hooks honored Wilson and numerous athletes from throughout South Texas. Jamie was selected pitcher on the 2013 South Texas Pre-Season All-Star Team. (1A-3A) Wilson’s career accolades include First Team All-District pitcher, Honorable Mention All-Area. Wilson won 8 games and 2 losses, batted .333 and had an ERA of 1.440.

In 2011 Jamie was selected All-District First Team pitcher, Honorable Mention All-State Outfielder. Jamie will be a returning starter on the Lady Eagle softball team this spring. The Lady Eagles will once again continue to make a run deep in the playoffs behind the pitching of Wilson and the rest of the 2013 Lady Eagles.
