David was born in Karnes County to the late Robert and Julianna Walker Townsend.
He is survived by three sisters, three brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. David was a member of the First Baptist Church of Goliad.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 at First Baptist Church of Goliat. Pastor Jay Fleming will conduct the service.
