WOODSBORO — The Woodsboro 8th grade boys basketball team defeated the Port Aransas 8th grade 64-14 on Thursday, Jan. 24. The Woodsboro boys got off to a quick start against Port Aransas using a stifling press defense that led to several easy baskets, in route to a 13-4 first quarter lead.

The Eagles kept up the great defensive play and led 26-6 at half. The Eagles were led by Kaleb Rivera with 21 points, Jaden Wren’s 13 points and several assists, Roberto Esparza with 12 points, and Jordan Abila with 10 points. Erick Foster added 4 points, and Daniel Colindres and Danny Havens added 2 points each. Jeremy Jankovsky contributed with some assists and great defense.

The Woodsboro 8th Grade Boys remain undefeated on the season with a 9-0 record.
