Eight teams will take the A.C. Jones High School field with pool one playing on Thursday for their round-robin contests. Teams in pool one include Beeville White, Santa Gertrudis, Ingleside and Woodsboro. Play begins at 10 a.m., and the final game will start at approximately 4:40 p.m. It will definitely be a full day of softball with each team playing three games.
Friday’s play will have the pool two teams of Port Aransas, George West, Goliad and Beeville Orange taking the field in round-robin play. Play begins and ends at the same times as Thursday’s action.
Saturday’s finals will have the teams square off as their rankings or standings in pool play evolved except for the top two finishers. A semi-finals round with the number one team from pool one facing the number two team in pool two will be one semifinals contest, and the number two pool one squad will square off vs. the number one team from pool two.
The winners of those two games will collide for the tourney title at approximately 3:20 p.m. Saturday.
