JV Lady Trojan third baseman Tif’Ni Puebla comes up for a throw to first base to catch a Ingleside batter for the out in Tuesday night’s game. Puebla knocked in a couple of runs in the second inning on a double to the fence in left field and help the Lady Trojans to a 12-11 victory over the visiting Lady Mustangs.
A second inning uprising by the Beeville girls got the team going. Tif’Ni Puebla stroked a double off the fence in left field to drive in two runs as did Samantha Salazar later in the contest.
Also later, Teresa Trevino and Christina Alcorta provided the firepower with base hits to drive in two runs apiece to help secure the victory.
Amanda Garza pitched the complete game for the JV girls and got the win.
“The team played well,” said JV coach Alan Burkett.
The Beeville JV will compete in the CCISD tournament this weekend.
