Family members had cut the man down, but it was too late. No pulse was found.
The Tivoli Fire Department, Refugio County Sheriff’s Office and Refugio County medics responded to the scene.
Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Lorraine Lopez pronounced the man dead at 1:15 p.m.
