GOLIAD – The Goliad Tigerettes saw their District 30-2A softball record fall to 1-1 Tuesday night in a 12-8 loss to the Tidehaven Tigerettes.

Goliad, ranked sixth in the latest Class 2A Texas Girls Coaches Association poll, fell behind 5-1 after three innings and could never catch up with Tidehaven, which scored in every inning except the sixth.

Kayla Friend had three hits for the Tigers and scored two runs while driving in two. Stormie Lutz and Amber Rose each had two RBI for Goliad.

Goliad will host Aransas Pass in another 30-2A game Friday at
