She finished as the number one 2A competitor, and earned a spot to compete at the girls state powerlifting meet. Brenda finished with a total lifting weight of 705 pounds, a 60 pound increase over her previous best of 645 pounds at the Industrial meet.
“It has been an amazing year for Brenda who is a senior and first year powerlifter. The state meet will be held in Corpus Christi on Saturday, March 16 at the American Bank Center,” said Coach Cox
